BEST NIGHT

The Ethno Jazz Festival just totally blew my mind. The final act tonight was a Polish group with dual accordions, violin, drums, bass, clarinet and it was UNBELIEVABLE. I wish I could describe how amazing it was. There's nothing like raucous live jazz music that is just oozing with creativity and passion. So glad I went. My heart is breaking a little bit because all I want to do is play my violin and I don't have it. I'm definitely going to get a ticket at least for Sunday night too. The second group was also great because the singer was this awesome woman from Zimbabwe who really drew in the crowd. But really the last group gave one of the best performances I've ever seen.

Before the concert I went to one of the best restaurants in Chisinau, Grill House, with Frank (a Fulbright scholar who is teaching at Moldova State) and the food and atmosphere was very good there too. Not to mention the weather today was gorgeous. I'm really loving this city right now.
